Claudio Raineri is ready to hold a meeting in Leicester in his new club, Fulham, with five members of his current Premier League squad, we can reveal it.
Ranieri would like England midfielder Danny Drinkwater – which could be available on loan from Chelsea – and Fulham Timothy Fosu-Mensah occupies an extra place, but it could be surplus if another former player arrives in the form of Danny Simpson.
The Italian would like to take the 31-year-old back Simpson, 32-year-old left-back Christian Fuchs and 32-year-old striker Shinji Okazaki of Japan. Leicester, with all three fighting for play time this year – in fact, none of the three have started a game this season and are known to be in surplus.
And the final of the five targets, is probably the easiest to land because he is a free agent, and that's the German defender Robert Huth.
Huth left Leicester in the summer and has been linked to several clubs in recent weeks – but Ranieri hopes the 34-year-old can help him block Fulham's defense.
