FC Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi won the men's title of the match against PSV Eindhoven on Wednesday night and broke the all-time UEFA Champions League record set by rival Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Argentine striker opened the scoring of his team before providing the help of Gerard Pique's goal during Barca's 2-1 win over the Dutch club.
This victory allowed the Blaugrana to qualify for the round of 16 with a match to play, while Messi wrote his name again in the history books of UCL.
The 31-year-old scored his 106th goal in the competition against PSV, beating Ronaldo's record for most goals scored by a player for just one club in the Champions League.
Messi scored 106 goals in 106 matches for Barcelona, while Ronaldo scored 105 goals in 163 matches with Real Madrid before joining Juventus.

But overall, Ronaldo remains the record scorer of the competition with 121 shots.
