Toby Alderweireld said the North London derby is arguably the biggest in the world as Tottenham prepares to visit Arsenal on Sunday.
Unai Emery's team is undefeated in 17 games, but the Spurs ended an undefeated start to Chelsea's campaign on Saturday before beating Inter Milan in the Wednesday's Champions League match. extending their winning streak to six games in all competitions.
"Everyone who follows football knows how important this game is," said Alderweireld. "It's one of the biggest, maybe the biggest derby in the world, so everyone knows it.
"I think we can beat everybody if we play it against Chelsea and against Inter, two big teams, we showed we can reach a very high level."
Jan Vertonghen, who was playing his first match for nearly two months against Inter after a sore hamstring injury, was looking forward to his return.
"It's going to be huge," he said. "They [Arsenal] look like a different team and it will be a great match.
"These are always good games to play at Emirates, with two teams wanting to play football and want to win." We respect each other and I can not wait, but I have to rest for a while.
"They look like a strong team and they have won several games in a row, they are confident, but so are we.
"We feel good and we are working for our best form.In the beginning we won matches, but maybe not with our best form.We now grow with every game.Chelsea was obviously very good and Inter Milan now, so hopefully can keep this for Sunday. "
Harry Winks said the game came at the right time for Tottenham.
"The form in which we are right now is probably the perfect time to go in. It's a match that fans want to win and one we want to win." Three games a week are going to be tough, but confidence is great. "
