SINGAPORE: SingPass and CorpPass national authentication systems were "temporarily unavailable" on Thursday night (Nov. 29), the Singapore Government Technology Agency (GovTech) said.
"The team is working on catering services … Thank you for your patience," said the agency on Facebook at 7:50 pm.
The disruption seemed to be limited to the SingPass Mobile app, users attempting to login receiving an error message stating, "Sorry, an error has occurred. Please login again to finalize your registration."
At 8:30 pm, the website and the application displayed pop-up messages stating: "Maintenance Notices Some users encounter difficulties when logging in through the SingPass Mobile application." The team s & # In the meantime, you can continue to log in with your 2FA SMS and OneKey token, thank you for your understanding. "

This is not the first time that users encounter problems with the application.
Just hours after its launch on Oct. 22, users reported receiving a "121" error code when they attempted to log on.
GovTech said a day later that the problems with the new application being launched were due to a software error, which was not detected during testing.
The SingPass Mobile app allows users to Connect to government e-services on their phones with only their fingerprints, faces, or a six-digit authentication code, which saves you from having to use passwords.
The app also makes it easier for Singaporeans living and working abroad to access government services without a digital token, GovTech said.
It does not replace existing two-factor authentication methods for SingPass users. One-time SMS passwords and OneKey tokens will continue to be offered as an option to users.
