Microdot's mother, accused along with her husband of committing fraud against 10 friends, relatives and neighbors at the end of the 1990s, would be back in Korea.
On April 8, Sports Media Kyunghyang announced that Microdot's mother would return to Korea on April 8 at around 7:30 pm KST. It is believed that she will be stopped by the police upon her arrival.
In November 2018, Microdot's parents were alleged to have borrowed several hundred million won (100 million won, or about $ 87,264) in 1998, and then left the country without having repaid their money.
Although Microdot initially denied the allegations, when testimony from various victims continued to be heard, he formally apologized and ended his entertainment activities.
The police also asked Interpol to issue a red notice to the parents of Microdot, who are currently residing in New Zealand. This request was approved on December 13th. Microdot's parents then appointed a lawyer and attempted to reach a settlement with some of the victims.
Police have previously indicated that Microdot's parents would be arrested upon their arrival in Korea, their arrest warrants having been renewed three years ago, so they are still valid.
