SINGAPORE – A week after the death of a 37-year-old motorcyclist in a road accident in Tuas, his family, gripped by grief, is still searching for answers.

Mr. Lim Ruiliang, a maintenance worker at the Tuas naval base, was reportedly returning home from work when he was hit by a private bus on Monday (28 January).

Police said they were alerted to the accident near 59 Gul Road at 17:22 that day.

For the Lim family, the accident occurred exactly two months after the death of his 34-year-old brother, who died last November 28 in his sleep.

The family was still shocked by the sudden death of his second brother when they also lost Mr. Lim, said Lim's sister Ruifen.

Ms. Lim, 33, is the youngest of two siblings and the only surviving offspring of her parents.

When the family was informed of the accident at 19:00 last Monday, Mr. Lim 's wife, husband and cousin Mrs Lim rushed to the scene.

The green private bus was parked at a distance, but it was empty and the driver could not be found, said Mr Lim's sister.

She calls for videos or descriptions with eyewitnesses. The family wants the private bus company to explain the explanation of the accident.

"I do not know if the accident was the fault of my brother or the bus driver, but no matter who committed the fault, death has always occurred," she told Straits Times on Friday. after the wake of his brother to Yishun.

Mr. Lim is survived by a primary school girl and a son of almost a year old.

After the death of his second brother last November, his parents decided that they would not celebrate the Chinese New Year and that there would be no reunion dinner this year.

Mr Lim 's sister stated that his parents, both over 60, were heartbroken and disappointed because no one from the private bus company had contacted them to explain to them what was going on. had passed.

A few days ago, she received a message from a Chinese language newspaper stating that someone wanted to donate to the family. His parents said no.

"It is not a question of money At the end of the day, we must know what happened because we want answers for my late brother."
