SINGAPORE: A man was injured after being hit by a concrete fall in front of the Wanderlust Hotel on Dickson Road, Tuesday, November 27.

The SCDF reported that he had been alerted by a call for medical assistance around 11:40 pm, adding that the injured had then been taken to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.

It is understood that the man who was sitting in front of the hotel when the plasterboard fell on him was injured in the spine and could no longer move the lower part of his body.

A spokesman for the Construction and Building Authority (BCA) said the police had notified him "an architectural item fell outside the Wanderlust Hotel" at 12:30 pm.

The BCA engineers immediately inspected the incident site and found that an architectural plaster tape, estimated at 4.0m by 0.3m, had fallen from the second floor of the building. 39, building, "said the spokesman.
