Andy Robertson insists that Liverpool could resuscitate his ambitions in the Champions League with a big night at Anfield next month.
The 2-1 defeat at Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday night left the Reds with a series of permutations: beat the leader of group C Napoli 1-0 or by two clear goals on December 11 to be assured a place in the last 16.
"We know how difficult it will be against Naples but we believe in it," Robertson told Liverpoolfc.com at Parc des Princes.
"We think in Anfield that we can create special parties. We will need our fans and everyone behind us. If we can create a special atmosphere, I'm sure the players will react and hope to get the result we deserve.
"We never do it easily. In the last campaign, we were stronger in the group stage, but we had to win in the last game and we managed, so it's the same this time. "
Jürgen Klopp's team took two goals late in the first half at PSG, while Juan Bernat and Neymar took advantage of the opportunity for the Ligue 1 club.
James Milner converted a penalty to a halt in the first half to allow the visitors to feel well improved after the interval, but unable to produce the decisive moment they needed to balance.
"Of course, we are taking the decision process tonight because we could not find it," Robertson said.
"There were two in the second half. I found myself in a good position and I just did not find the right ball. There were a few other situations where we could not find the last ball.
"We should not have let them really score two goals in the first half. We obviously came back with the penalty but we were not quite there.
"In the second half, I thought it was all we and obviously we had to attack in the end and then they had some counter-attacks. It was a very frustrating night, there were things we could not control and other things we could control, but it was a very disappointing night.
Liverpool must now gather immediately for the visit of its neighbors Everton this weekend in the Premier League.
"It's the beauty of our league," added Robertson. "Watford was a tough match on Saturday and we are now looking forward to the Merseyside derby on Sunday.
"It's another huge game and we can bounce back immediately. We will try to do it, we know how important the game is and hope to be able to live up to the situation. "
