Black and gold trousers suits and dreamy dresses embellished with velvet or feathered led the evening glamor show at Italian designer Giorgio Armani's haute couture show in Paris on Tuesday.

PARIS: Costumes from black and gold pants and dreamers Dresses decorated with velvet or overflowing feathers led the evening clothes show at the haute couture show of Italian designer Giorgio Armani in Paris

The 83-year-old creator – whose creations are staples Hollywood red carpet and worn by stars like Julia Roberts and Cate Blanchett reveled in touches of champagne color for her latest collection, reflected in the adornments and satin linings or long skirts that wrap around the body.

The fringed dresses give way to huge swollen skirts the models sneak into the lounges of the Embassy of Italy in Paris, under chandeliers and cupboards filled of porcelain jewelry.

The Armani Prive Collection also features touches of turquoise pink and fuschia, The Haute Couture Collection of Paris, which celebrates the unique styles that require meticulous sewing, runs until July 5th.

Only a handful of brands belong to the selected Haute Couture club, and must be approved by the French Fashion Directorate based on criteria such as personnel, skills and service offered to private customers

Armani remains one of the largest independent fashion groups. As part of a succession plan, Giorgio Armani said last year that he was seeking to protect the brand against a future takeover or dismember it by transferring a stake in a foundation that oversee certain decisions.
