Although the fate of several Marvel creations remains unknown after the shocking climax of Avengers: Infinity War, two characters have just seen their life status confirmed.
Brandon T Snider Brand New Binder Book, entitled Marvel's Avengers: Infinity War: The Cosmic Quest, Volume 2: The Consequences (a mouthful) revealed that the destruction of Thanos on the fly may have destroyed half of the universe, but Dr. Erik Selvig lives to fight another day.
Alongside Selvig stands his associate Darcy Lewis, played by Kat Dennings in Marvel Cinematic Universe.
It's Stellan Skarsgård who plays Selvig in the movies. Its appearance here corroborates the predictions of Marvel fans that the scientist will play an important role in the upcoming Avengers movie, many of which announce the trailer earlier than expected.
The synopsis of the book confirms the importance of the duo. It reads as follows:
"A deadly threat has emerged from the cosmos – and it has come true. Following the horrific success of Thanos, the inhabitants of the Earth are plunged into despair and confusion. Without any logical explanation for the blip-out event, those who remain must pick up the pieces.
Dr. Erik Selvig and his associate Darcy Lewis are determined to find and understand the cause of the devastation. According to a theory of Reddit, Selvig will be the key to defeating Thanos, claiming that he knew Thanos destructive destruction was going to occur while she was hypnotized by the mental stone, and thus created a loophole that would see this universe crush on itself.
