SINGAPORE: A motorcyclist injured Saturday, June 15 in an accident with a bus from Tower Transit in Jurong died, police said.
The accident between the bike and the double-decker bus occurred at the intersection of Corporation Road and Jalan Ahmad Ibrahim at approximately 12:30 pm
The motorcyclist, a 59-year-old man, was taken to the National University Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries, the police said.
Police investigations are in progress.
A spokesman for Tower Transit said the company was assisting the traffic police in its investigation and that the bus driver had been "dismissed".
"The bus was in service at the time," he added.
