CHICAGO (REUTERS) – The Indonesian co-pilot family of the Lion Air flight crashed in October, killing 189 people on board, sued for death against Boeing Co in Chicago. his hometown.

Lion Air Flight 610 crashed into the Java Sea after taking off from Jakarta on October 29th.
The complaint was filed on behalf of the widow of pilot Harvino and his three children, all from Jakarta. He also alleges that the instruction manuals provided by Boeing to the two-month-old aircraft were inadequate and resulted in the deaths of the pilots, crew and passengers.
In a statement, law firm Gardiner Koch Weisberg & Wrona said that Harvino and Captain Bhayve Suneja of Flight 610 were experienced pilots, having logged more than 5,000 and 6,000 flying hours before the disaster.
At least two other lawsuits have been filed against Boeing in Chicago by the victims of Lion Air.
A preliminary report written by Indonesian investigators focused on the maintenance and training of the airlines and on the reaction of a Boeing anti-stall system to a newly replaced sensor, but gave no cause to the accident .
One of the investigators, Nurcahyo Utomo, told reporters that it was too early to determine whether a new version of the anti-stall system, which has not been explained to pilots in the manuals, was a contributing factor.
