The tweets, unveiled by conspiracy theorist Mike Cernovich, were sent years before Gunn became the director of the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise.
Bautista, who plays Drax in the movies, took on Twitter to say that 39, he does not agree with The director's output.
The 49-year-old boy wrote: "I will have more to say but for now all I will say is that .. @ JamesGunn is one of the people the most loving, caring, kind-hearted person I have ever met.He is sweet and kind and cares deeply about people and animals.

Gunn's shooting provoked much controversy among the fans, many claiming that he should not have been fired as the Tweets were almost ten years ago, while others said that Disney had no choice because of the nature of the tweets.
Walt Disney Studios president Alan Horn said: "Offensive attitudes and statements found on Jam's Twitter feed They are indefensible.
"[They are] inconsistent with the values of our studio, and we broke our business relationship with him."
James wrote on Twitter: who followed my career knowing when i I started, I considered myself a provocateur, making movies and telling scandalous and taboo jokes. As I have often said publicly, as I developed it as a person, my work and my humor also did it.
