SINGAPORE – Former actress Irin Gan announced Thursday (July 25th) that her husband, Hawk Tan, had died.
She wrote in a Facebook post: "You were so strong and positive until the last minute (second), second, really a fighter."
"I guess God has a better plan for you and you're in a much better place now."
Irin, however, did not reveal the details of her husband's death.
Messages of condolence flowed after the announcement, with some of her friends urging her to take care of herself and stay strong.
The 47-year-old is best known for her role in Vicky in Growing Up, a local English-language fiction broadcast from 1996 to 2001.
She left Mediacorp in 2010 and later retired from show business.
Irin is now Regional Marketing Manager for a biopharmaceutical group, while her husband was Regional Sales Manager in the hospitality industry.
