Girls are smarter than boys in Singapore (at least at PSLE level)
The three best secondary schools in Singapore, based on the PSLE scores, are all girls' schools – namely, the SAP IP of Nanyang Girls' High School, the Methodist Girls' School (secondary) and the property. intellectual of Raffles Girls School (secondary).
Scientifically however, this is probably due to the fact that girls usually arrive at puberty earlier than boys and are more mature in their thoughts at the same age.
The girls' school dominates the first places
Of the top ten schools, five are exclusively for girls, three exclusively for boys and two mixed. As you go through the list, it is still clear that girls' schools tend to rank quite well overall compared to boys and girls.
For example, even if you delete all special program schools (IP, IB, and SAP) and narrow the list to O-level schools only, girls-only schools remain at the top of the list.
Schools for boys or girls are generally better ranked than mixed schools
It may be true not to let children become acquainted with birds and bees too early – it is very visible on the list that schools for girls and boys are generally ranked in the top 50, at the top of the list. except for a few aberrant ones like Montfort Secondary languishing at 98.
Some O-level schools are even more difficult to integrate than special programs from IB schools or intellectual property
It is evident that some parents do not consider it an obligation for their children to enter the special six-year program which offers schools an IP or accelerated international program to avoid O levels, even if they the notes needed to access it. O-level schools that scored better than IB and IP schools
These include Secondary O High School Methodist Levels for Girls, Intermediate SAP Secondary School Level for Girls CHIJ St. Nicholas, SAP Upper Level High School Levels for Catholic Secondary Schools, Methodist School for Girls Paya Lebar (secondary), Singapore Chinese primary school O- O, Anglo-Chinese schools (independent) and O levels of Cedar girls' high schools, which all rank above the special program ranked at the lowest rank, Temasek Junior College IP, ranked 23rd on the list.
The name of the school seems to indicate the ranking
