Gboard 7.8 prepares a new emoji panel, history of voice input, language, etc. [APK Insight]

Gboard 7.8 was deployed last night in beta with a handful of new features and voice input changes. In addition to voice recognition on the latest device, users will soon be able to link a Google Account and manually select a language. We have also enabled a redesigned emoji selection interface.

Work on the built-in Clipboard is in progress with Gboard 7.8 to improve channel clarity. The copied text is now called "clip" and sorted by "Recent" and "Older" categories. This feature has begun to be used by some users, but is not yet widely available.

Redesigned Emoji

Gboard 7.8 is working on a redesigned emoji panel that we managed to activate. The main difference is a horizontal scroll pane instead of a vertical pane with the previous tabbed pattern. Text labels act as dividers, even though users can always move to a section from the bottom carousel of icons.

Voice typing on the device

Gboard 7.8 continues to work on "faster voice typing," with introductory text showing how, once the model is downloaded to the device, it will work offline.

Gboard 7.8 reveals a Google account association work with the voice pad to record your audio queries and transcripts in an audio and audio activity, similar to wizard or search. The application will get an interface to select an account on your device. However, there is an option to use "Gobo Voice Input Without Account", where "Audio History will not be saved".

How to update?

You can sign up for the Gboard beta program here or by going to the Play Store listing on Android and scrolling down to the bottom. The latest beta version of Gboard is immediately deployed by Google as soon as it is available.

We do not publish APKs for download directly because of legal difficulties related to copyright and the possibility of deletion. In the meantime, this model is perilous given Android's bundled bundles of apps and dynamic Google Play delivery.
