Alphabet IncS Google announced Tuesday that it has launched a four-month program in Israel to help startups grow globally by using its experts and tools.

the Google The Startup Growth Lab program selected eight companies at the end of a pilot project completed in 2018.

"This is a program for startups who are starting their growth period or who have growth problems," said Lior Noy, director of startup growth at Google, told Reuters.

The format, which provides information on the industry to achieve growth in various geographic regions, is a first for Google, he added.

The eight companies include Guesty, a short-term property management platform, and DayTwo, which provides personalized nutritional information based on intestinal bacteria.

Noy said the program will be run three times a year and Google will continue to work with startups even after the end of their programs.

"We have a few teams working with more mature companies and we give them the best team to continue growing," he said.
