Drinkbox Studios announced that Guacamelee! 2 will be released on Switch on December 10 and on Xbox One in January 2019, reports Gematsu.
Owners of Switch products can pre-order Guacamelee! 2 now with 10% discount. All Switch owners who also own Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition will receive an additional 30% off pre-order.
As announced yesterday, Guacamelee! Tree Enimigos, the first downloadable content pack of 2, is also available for purchase on PlayStation 4 for 2.99 USD. This pack will also be released on Switch and Xbox One as soon as Guacamelee! 2 is available on these respective platforms.
A second downloadable content pack, Proving Grounds, will be released on December 7 for $ 3.99 on PlayStation 4. Although it seems likely that Proving Ground will be available for Switch and Xbox One when Guacamelee! 2 is released for these two consoles, today 's announcement does not confirm one way or the other.
Drinkbox announced in October that it would release Guacamelee! 2 on Switch in December. Guacamelée! 2 was launched for the first time on PlayStation 4 in August, and IGN gave it a rating of 9.3, calling it a hilarious, stimulating and enriching follow-up to the original version of Drinkbox.
