Pep Guardiola was impressed by the Lyon duo Houssem Aouar and Tanguy Ndombele in the 2-2 draw at Manchester City in France.
The French held the citizens in their group match of the Champions League but that was enough for Guardiola's men who qualified for the last 16 of the competition.
Aouar, who was linked to Liverpool recently, and Ndombele led the midfielder for Lyon on Tuesday night and Guardiola praised their performances in particular.
"Houssem Aouar is a very good player, he is incredible," Guardiola told reporters.
"We talk a lot about Ndombele, but Aouar is also excellent. He is always very calm with the ball at his feet, with excellent technical quality.
"Lyon really has a very good team. There are young people full of quality and I think the team is tactically in place, I think we can congratulate them, we had absences tonight, but we must congratulate them! "
