Huawei Nova 4 could launch soon with a display hole for the camera

Goggle-free designs are one of the major trends in smartphone design in 2018, when almost every major company competes to create true-screen displays. Some have come close to the goal, but there are still limits to overcome. Display notches reduce the top frame, but OEMs still have room for the front camera and other sensors. Some devices, such as Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 and Honor Magic 2, hide the front camera in a hidden area that the user accesses by lowering the phone. We have recently heard that screen manufacturers are starting to create screens with holes to hold the front camera. Until now, we thought that Samsung would be the first to launch a smartphone with a hole in the screen. As stated on Huawei's official Weibo page, Huawei is about to launch a new smartphone with a display hole. This phone could very well be the Huawei Nova 4, as it was spotted by WinFuture.

We do not know much about this camera, except that it has a hole in the front camera display. It's up to you to judge if it's better than having a display screen, but I see it as a temporary solution until really displays without glasses (without sliders) are possible. Huawei did not show the back of the device, so there is not much to do with the supposed Nova 4 at that time.

As you can see in the photo above, despite the hole in the camera, the device still has a visible bezel on the sides. The photo may give the phone's images a larger appearance than it will be in person, or the photo may accurately reflect the experience we will get. The so-called Huawei Nova 4 will be announced in December, so we do not have to wait long to find out.
