Jimmy Kimmel tricked some people on the streets of Hollywood into believing that Rock Rock won a Michigan Senate seat in his reoccurring "Lie Witness News" segment on Tuesday night's show (Nov. 6). The hell raising rap-rocker had announced he would run for Senate in 2017 as a publicity stunt – so Kimmel begged the question, "what if he had?"
Kimmel's team showed viewers a fake CNN news report in which 47-year-old Rock gave a "victory speech" created using footage from one of his concerts. They also confused people by telling them that they have been planning to go to the polls, and that they are going to vote, so they say, "Smell my fingers, no new taxes" and wanted to legalize and tax crystal meth.
The interviewer closed the segment by having people look at the camera and address by Kimmel's team made up for him.
