Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool have been nominated for the Globe Soccer Awards after an eventful year 2018.

The boss of the Reds is one of the candidates to win the award for best manager of the year alongside Massimiliano Allegri of Juventus, Zinedine Zidane, former boss of Real Madrid, Diego Simeone of Atletico Madrid and Didier Deschamps, winner of the 2018 World Cup in France.

LiverpoolReal and Atletico are in the running to be named the best clubs of 2018.

The La Liga duo won respectively the Champions League and the Europa League, while the Klopp men reached the Champions League final last season.

Cristiano Ronaldo aims to win the player's prize for the third time in a row. Other finalists are Kylian Mbappe of PSG and Antoine Griezmann of Atletico Madrid.

Jorge Mendes, Jonathan Barnett and Stefano Castagna are the nominees for the Best Officer Award of the year.
