Jürgen Klopp thinks that Ben Woodburn will benefit from the current period of his development.
The Liverpool striker has made eight appearances since joining the Sheffield United Championship team in 2018-19.
He returned temporarily to the Reds this weekend to play an influential role in the U23 1-0 win over Everton at Goodison Park.
"It's not about being happy in the situation, but being realistic," Klopp told Liverpoolfc.com.
"Sheffield United obviously plays a brilliant season and it is always difficult to enter. A championship team is a quality and if you are at the top of the table, it's even more.
"Ben is still an incredibly young boy. He had the opportunity to come back and play the game here – and obviously play very well.
"We will never lose it or think," He is not doing well enough in Sheffield. "It's normal, he wanted to – he wanted to be in a situation where he had to prove himself elsewhere.
"It has not worked well so far, but it's very important to be in a situation like this after eight or nine years without any development issues.
"As long as he stays healthy, everything will be fine."
