The Amazon Spring 2016 documentary "William & Kate: the Journey" by Amazon Prime describes in detail the extremely close ties that unite Victoria and Carole and Michael Middleton, "strongly involved in Prince George's education."

However, Royal Editor Ashley Pearson notes that: "Prince Charles and Camilla have been less involved."

Pearson continues: "There have been several royal reports of insiders that Charles was unhappy and thought he was a bit out of Prince George's life.
"Carole Middleton and her husband, Michael, somehow resumed and usurped his position in the family."
She adds: "[There are] rumors that Charles and Camilla would feel a little offended and would like to participate more actively in the life of the young family.
"He wants the world to know that he really wants to be a part of George's life, even if he's not as involved in children's daily lives."
