A lawyer found guilty of attempting to defraud the government by abusing the productivity and innovation credit program was struck off Wednesday, November 28 by the three judges' court.

With the help of Chandran, Sahtyah and Paradize staff, Kangatharan then made false statements in the PIC cash claim form, stating that his son and sister were employed by his company. Chandran will be sentenced next January for his role in the $ 1.1 million scam. He helped 49 candidates to submit 58 fictitious applications between June 2013 and July 2014. Although claims totaled $ 1,122,744 in cash and bonus payments, only $ 876,684 was finally paid.
As part of the scam, Paradize was to receive half of the $ 24,606 that the Kangatharan business would receive from the government. However, the Singapore Tax Authority (Inland Revenue Authority) detected false information and did not make the payment.
Kangatharan has not renewed his exercise certificate since 2015. After his conviction last August, the Singapore Bar Association has seized the Supreme Court to strike the role of lawyers and lawyers.
