Meghan Markle: The Duchess of Sussex parties all night at Kensington Palace | Royal | New

The French ambassador, Jean-Pierre Jouyet, would have been dissatisfied with the duke's and the duchess's decision to move away from Kensington Palace in favor of Frogmore Cottage. The garden at the back of Mr. Jouyet, on Kensington Palace Gardens, overlooks the front of the couple's former home. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex used to have "all night" parties and "fireworks" at Kensington Palace, the former neighbor said.

At a party last week, the French ambassador told the Sun: "It's so quiet here that Harry and Meghan are gone.

"They had fireworks, nights that lasted all night, friends and family coming and going.

"All we see and hear is the helicopters landing. It's boring now. "

Mr. Jouyet, however, does not agree with the choice of the Sussex name.

Meghan and Harry moved to Frogmore Cottage earlier this year after the queen gave them a gift.

The chalet consists of 10 rooms and rests on 15 hectares of greenery.

The home should also benefit from a multi-million-pound redevelopment to convert it into a luxury family home that will be complemented by a new nursery, gym, and yoga studio.

Previously, the house had been divided into five parts for the palace staff.

The Grade II listed building, formerly known as Double Garden Cottage, was a royal retreat for over 300 years.

Before Meghan and Harry moved to the house, the Queen and other members of the royal family used it as a refuge for private and official royal engagements.

One source said that "the energy is so much better" in the couple's new home at Frogmore Cottage, compared to what it was in their former home at Kensington Palace.

Meghan and Prince Harry, 34, welcomed this month their first child, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, born on Monday, May 6, weighing 7 lbs.
