Motorcyclist dies and passenger injured in accident with trailer on BKE, Singapore

SINGAPORE – A 30-year-old motorcyclist died and his passenger was injured after an accident with a trailer on Sunday, 25 November.

Police said they were alerted to the accident occurred along the Bukit Timah Highway (BKE) towards the Pan Island Highway before the exit of the Kranji Highway, at 11:01 am .

The 30-year-old motorcyclist was taken unconscious to the Khoo Teck Puat Hospital (KTPH). He died later the same day. The passenger, a 23-year-old man, was aware when he was taken to KTPH.

The Straits Times understands that one of the men also suffered from cardiac arrest.

The driver of the trailer, a 37-year-old man, assists the police in his investigations.

ST understands that the bike collided with the rear end of the trailer, which resulted in the accident.
