Both men are injured but that did not stop the Warriors from behaving well because they are second in the Western Conference.
Curry is injured in the groin while Green has foot pain and none of them will play tonight against Orlando Magic (3:30 pm UK time).
The absence of Curry and Green exerted increased pressure on Durant.
And so far, he has risen to the challenge by finishing with a record 44 points to go with 13 rebounds and seven assists in the 117-116 win over the Sacramento Kings in the last defeat.
Durant acknowledges that it is difficult without Curry and Green, but he tries to do his best for the Warriors.
"It's not comfortable to play without them," Durant said.
"They bring too much to the table to say that. But we are simply trying to find ways to be effective, each of us on the ground, when we are.
"I think Coach tried to do a good job mixing and matching the alignments and putting the guys in a position to succeed individually.
"And we try to trust our defense more than anything: we miss 30 points of Steph and every night.
"You do not know where it's going to come from. You need to play more brain games without one of your top scorers.
"And then Draymond adds such a … he brings a unique approach to the game with his defense, rocking everything, wandering.
"But also the extra passes, and [grabbing] the rebound and push the pace. I think that, more than anything, we are simply trying to rely on defense and the offensive, we find the solution, but we are never comfortable without these two. "
The Warrior coach, Steve Kerr, also congratulated Durant for taking on more responsibilities.

The warriors hope that Durant will be back in shape tonight as they face Magic.
