Porsche has unveiled a version of the most extreme generation 991 circuit, called GT2 RS Clubsport, reserved for circuits. In the same vein as the new 935 revealed earlier in the year, the GT2 RS Clubsport promises to deliver an even more thrilling experience on the track.
Without having to undergo road homologation, the GT2 RS Clubsport offers a host of new carbon fiber components and other track accessories, thus increasing the strength of support while reducing the weight. New additions include a carbon-fiber motor sport-inspired rear spoiler, larger front air intakes with integrated headlights, a carbon roof with integrated exhaust hatch, carbon engine hoods and covers, and competition fuel cell.

Inside the bare cab are an FIA-approved roll bar, racing bucket seat and carbon fiber racing wheel with a color screen borrowed from the GT3 R car. 1390 kg, the Clubsport weighs 80 kg less than the GT2 RS.
The GT2 RS Clubsport is equipped with the same water-cooled 3800cc flatbed six cylinder engine as the GT2 RS roadster. Equipped with two turbochargers, Vario-Cam Plus switches with valve lift and variable camshaft adjustment, the Sportport produces the same weight of 691 horsepower. The same seven-speed PDK dual-clutch gearbox is connected to the engine.
A PSM stability management system and an ABS system make it possible to control all this power. They can both be manually adjusted on the center console by means of a pair of rotary controls. This allows to gently adjust the amount of interventions of these systems. This has been a feature of race cars for some time, and this has also been observed on previous generations of Lotus models.
The set includes a set of 10.5 x 18-inch center-locking forged alloy wheels wrapped in Michelin racing rubber. These wheels and tires are two inches smaller than the road car, but borrowed from the GT3 R Cup car.
The GT2 RS Clubsport will be limited to 200 units for an amount of € 405,000 (£ 357,000) as of May 2019.
