The Manchester City coach believes the two midfielders could be key men of the future after their performance against his team.
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola praised the talents of Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar and Tanguy Ndombele.
The two players, aged 20 and 21 respectively, played midfield while the French tied Tuesday 2-2 in the Champions League.
Ndombele is perhaps the most celebrated of the two and has been repeatedly linked to the likes of Arsenal, Tottenham and City themselves.
However, Guardiola thinks that Aouar, who reportedly refused a move to Liverpool this summer, is just as good and was impressed by the way both players played.
"Houssem Aouar is a very good player, he is incredible," he told reporters.
"We talk a lot about Ndombele, but Aouar is also excellent, he is always very calm, the ball at his feet, with excellent technical quality.
"Lyon really has a very good team, there are young people full of quality and I think the team is tactically in place, I think we can congratulate them, we had absences tonight, but we have to congratulate them! "
The cities are sure to advance in the knockout stages of the competition after their draw and need only one point in their last group match against Hoffenheim to confirm their first place.
And Guardiola was delighted with the way his team played, having qualified Lyon as dangerous opponents.
"We are very happy and happy," he told BT Sport.
