Temperatures are heating up in Los Angeles. Whether you intend to party at outdoor concerts or relax in a museum, there are plenty of fun activities of architecture and design that take place in the city during these warmer months. Design for Dignity 3 | July 13

The Third Annual Conference of AIA | DESIGN FOR DIGNITY: Housing and Inclusive Communities will serve as a forum to discuss implementation strategies and best practices for addressing the housing crisis in our region. Architects, designers, planners, municipal leaders, and community activists will come together to share ideas about funding sources, planning policies, and recent legislative opportunities.


3D: Double Vision | Opening July 15

Inauguration at LACMA, "3D: Double Vision" is the first American exhibition devoted to the study of a full range of works of art, dating from 1838 to the present day, which give the illusion of three dimensions. In the end, experimenting with 3D, that is asking questions about the nature of perception, the lure of illusionism and our relationship with the technologies that create such images.

David Hockney: 82 Portraits and 1 Still Life | Open Now until July 29 [19659009] In 82 Portraits and 1 Still Life, David Hockney offers a dynamic and intimate vision of the people with whom he has developed relationships over the last 50 years. The majority of the portraits were painted in Hockney's studio in Los Angeles, all of life and over a period of two or three days, which the artist described as "a 20-hour exhibit."
