TOKYO: Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba said Sunday that he could move away from the Premier League team, telling reporters in Tokyo that "could be a good time for to take up a new challenge elsewhere ".
The Frenchman was associated in the British media with a move to Real Madrid to work with his coach Zinedine Zidane, or with a return to his former club, Juventus.
Pogba's time at Manchester United coincided with tasteless performances on the pitch and the club's organizational turmoil.
"As you said, there is a lot of discussion and reflection," Pogba, 26, told reporters in Tokyo.
"For me, I've been in Manchester for three years and I'm doing very well, good times and bad times, like everyone else, like everywhere else.
"After this season and all that has happened this season, my season is also my best season … I think it could be a good time to take on a new challenge elsewhere."
"I'm thinking of this: having a new challenge elsewhere."
Pogba, who left Juventus to settle at Old Trafford in August 2016 for a record 89.3 million pounds, saw Jose Mourinho replaced as coach by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer during his stay at the club.
Although incoherent, the World Cup winner scored 24 goals in 92 appearances for United and was named in the PFA Premier League 's year team.
