The month of December is almost here, which means that Niantic will soon be launching a new batch of field research tasks for Pokemon Go. As usual, if you complete enough before the end of the month, you will win a meeting with a rare Pokémon. This time, however, the developer offers players another chance to catch not one, but six legendary previously presented.
Whenever you make a scientific breakthrough in December, you will have another chance to capture one of the six legendary ones: Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, Raikou, Entei or Suicune. Each of these Pokémon has been introduced to previous field research tasks this year, making it a good opportunity to catch the ones you missed the first time (or just add more Legendaries to your collection) .
The legendary are not the only things to come back to Pokemon Go in December. Niantic says that it also brings back "some of the most popular field research tasks of the previous months". As before, you can acquire them by rotating the photo disc at different stages of poke. In order to achieve a breakthrough in research, you must complete at least one field research task a day for seven days.
The new field research tasks are scheduled to take place on December 1 at 1 pm EST / 4 PM Eastern Time. You will have completed your series of tasks and will meet Shedinja, the Pokémon Bug / Ghost introduced for the first time in ruby and sapphire.
The next Pokemon Go community day celebration will begin on Friday, November 30th. This time, the event will last the entire weekend and will bring back all Pokémon and Special Actions from previous community days. Another legendary generation 4, Cresselia, is also available for raid battles and will remain there until December 18th.
