SINGAPORE – Police are investigating a fight between a taxi driver and his passenger at Balestier Road just after midnight on Wednesday, November 28.
A video posted Thursday on Facebook shows the two men punching each other and shouting at the side of the road next to a blue Comfort taxi.
Police said they were alerted to the fight case at 12:30 pm and carried out an investigation.
The Straits Times understands that the dispute between the taxi driver and the passenger involved the payment of the taxi fare.
After the taxi driver reached the Balestier Road drop-off point, the passenger attempted to leave without paying, which caused a dispute.
The passenger, who was apparently intoxicated, escaped before the police arrived.
ST understands that the taxi driver suffered minor finger cuts.
