Manchester United have received a major boost in their pursuit of the Brazilian defender, while Fulham and Newcastle could exchange midfielders in January, according to Friday's newspapers.
EDER MILITAO HOLDS ON THE TRANSFER OF THE UTD MAN
According to reports, Manchester United could host Eder Militao at Old Trafford in January.
Portuguese paper Correio da Manha, via the Daily Express, claim that Porto struggles to convince him to sign a new agreement – which means that the current exit clause of his contract will make him vulnerable to poaching.
Porto has been discussing the extension of the Militao agreement until 2023 – and equally clearing its £ 45.2 million (€ 50 million) release clause to at least £ 68 million ( EUR 75 million).
However, he claimed that the center-center did not want to strengthen his future in the club, while United and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer made him turn his head.
The Brazilian defender has become Jose Mourinho's first target earlier in the season and interim boss Solskjaer would also like to draw the player to the club next month.

Correio da Manha indicates that Militao could join United in January – or that the deal could be concluded for the summer – if both clubs agree.
