As part of our ongoing coverage of the Anime Expo 2018, we here at ComicsVerse are sitting in the official announcements panel of the Trigger Animation Studio. The panel introduced Hiromi Wakabayashi as her host. Shigeto Koyama, a character designer with Trigger, the director of animation Sushio, the character creator of SSSS.GRIDMAN, Masaru Sakamoto, and the animation producer of SSSS.GRIDMAN, Masato Takeuchi, l & ## 39, joined during the different periods of the panel. Trigger previewed both new and previously announced content such as PROMARE, SSSS.GRIDMAN, INDIVISIBLE and KILL LA KILL THE GAME: IF; as well as the launch of its new Patreon account, rewarding fans with exclusive content that Hiromi Wakabayashi hopes will support the studio and its creators.
In a packed house, fans scolded with excitement at these new announcements. Trigger is currently finishing the final season of DARLING IN THE FRANXX, which aired its latest episode today. If you liked this show, you will certainly like these new additions. Without further ado, here are all the announcements made at the Trigger Industry Panel.
KILL THE GAME: IF
In partnership with Arc System Works, the producers of DRAGONBALL FIGHTERZ and ONE PIECE: GREAT PILOT COLOSSEUM, comes a brand new game five years after the end of the anime KILL LA KILL . Coming in 2019, the game is not a continuation of the anime, but a whole new story featuring Kyruuin Satsuki as the main protagonist. Kazuki Nakashima will come back to write this new story in the KILL LA KILL franchise. Watch the trailer below:
Sushio, the director of animation for the anime, said that he he was "rather happy" and "honored" that his characters were being shown in a different form. Like Ryuko at the end of the anime, Satsuko will also have a final form, which will give fans something to watch.
Warner Bros. Japan is planning a new schedule at the Anime Expo!
INDIVISIBLE
From Lab Zero Games, in collaboration with Trigger and Titmouse, comes INDIVISIBLE, a new RPG adventure game. The game was first announced in 2015 while it was still part of an Indigogo campaign in the hope of winning $ 1,500,000. $ 2,216,972 later, the game is officially underway with an anticipated release in early 2019. Trigger and Titmouse will be occupying the opening of the game. Yoh's pre-production art Yoshinari was introduced to the audience of the panel. Discover the character drawings below:
The official description of the game is as follows: "Indivisible tells the story of Ajna, a tomboy in a good mood with a rebel series.Raised by his father on the outskirts of their rural village, his life is plunged into chaos when its home is attacked and that a mysterious power awakens in it. PROMARE

Now, a year later, we finally have more info on PROMARE, the new anime of Hiroyuki Imaishi and Kazuki Nakashima. This info? The game is in production. Imaishi and Nakashima could not attend Anime Expo, but they sent a pretty funny video for them. In this one, they tell how they have made very little progress and have nothing to show with the exception of some character drawings. While we are unable to show all the models, we were able to take a snapshot of the trailer. Meet Galo, main protagonist of PROMARE
We can not really say much about PROMARE. Trigger is quite discreet about their latest project, but that's understandable. The animation is different from anything we have seen of them in recent years. The anime has a very westernized animation style. The background drawings showed a very colorful metropolis. It looks like Gotham City in BATMAN animations, but with a lot more vivid colors.
Galo is the first male protagonist of Trigger since GURREN LAGANN. He is the new recruit of a rescue team. Imaishi calls it well meaning but "pretty stupid" in his commentary. The one he's saving is not clear right now, but we know he's piloting a mechanic named Tech Matoi. During the Edo period, a matoi flight meant that a fire was nearby. So we can expect a lot of fire, the city being constantly destroyed, and full of action-packed scenes. There is no word on the release of PROMARE, but we know that it can not happen soon enough.

SSSS.GRIDMAN
SSSS.GRIDMAN is a restart of the 90s issue, GRIDMAN THE HYPER AGENT. Now located in modern Japan, Gridman is back to fight the viruses of the 21st century. During the panel, animation producer Masato Takeuchi pointed out that the anime was not a reboot, giving way to new characters and a whole new story
For those of you who do not know the original show, GRIDMAN THE HYPER AGENT was composed of hoping to create their own video game, meet GRIDMAN, an interdimensional policeman.With his help, teenagers fight to save the world from the monsters who seek to destroy their city.With SSSS.GRIDMAN, the director Akira Amemiya aims to usher in a new era of animation using this much-loved classic
The first episode, which was presented shortly after the panel, features the main character Yuta who wakes up without any memory. it made me Classroom, Sho, Yuta struggles to survive the day, especially when a kaiju suddenly appears on the horizon. The only problem, only Yuta can see the strange monster or robot that appears on a computer abandoned in the flea market of his classmate's family. But then, the kaiju attack suddenly, demolishing half of the city. To stop, the computer absorbs Yuta and he and Gridman are fighting to shoot him down. The episode ends with a cliffhanger. When they evaluate the damage caused by the k aiju Yuta and his classmates discover that their destroyed school is totally intact
. Quality alone is evidence of Trigger's top level animation skills. If you were not sure to watch it, let us tell you that you need to put SSSS.GRIDMAN on your list. SSSS.GRIDMAN goes out October 2019.
