Anthony and Joe Russo will work on a new original series for Amazon. This new show will follow their work on Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers 4 the latter recently entered post-production.
The films of Marvel at Russo have certainly been well received by the public, beginning with Captain America: The Winter Soldier . The success of their Captain America films earned them the chance to attack Infinity War the culminating film that has been carved since the appearance of Thanos at the end of the first film ] Avengers . Since Infinity War is arguably one of the most ambitious films to date, and it has broken almost every record of a blockbuster, it makes sense that Amazon does trust the Russo Brothers to lead a series. According to EW the new show Anthony and Joe Russo was confirmed, but the details are still tight on his premises. A description of Amazon Studios reads as follows:
"The original mother series will work as a fire tease to ignite the creation of several original local languages and local production series. All local series are intended for improve the entertainment experience and Amazon will not reveal any concrete details about the parameters or the type of show that it could be.In terms of genre, the Russo Brothers have directed a wide variety of things throughout their career, starting with TV shows like Community before joining the MCU, so anything is possible.Their summaries seem to have impressed Jennifer Salke, the head of Amazon Studios, who had this to say about of the new project:
"The Russo Brothers have influenced the barometer of the creative excellence of pop culture with their vision of the two Avengers: Infinite War and Captain America: Civil War They brought a level of scale and execution to those films that have raised the bar for the public everywhere and we can not wait for that. They are doing the same We are delighted to be working with Joe and Anthony Russo and their AGBO studios as they build this incredible multi-faceted international franchise.
For those who may not know it, AGBO is Russos' new studio, which has several projects underway. It seems that everything Russo Brothers will work for Amazon, it will have a great reach. Although the Russo Brothers did not fashion Marvel's film world by themselves, they were among the leading architects in Phase 3, making films that unified the MCU like never before. It is not surprising that their new Amazon show also seems to follow a shared universe model.
What intrigues the most, is the idea of a series of "local languages" and "local productions" connecting creatively in the same world. How exactly separate stories with different languages will be consistent with a continuity is ambitious for a streaming service like Amazon to try. The shows produced abroad have had mixed success at Netflix, which canceled international shows like Marco Polo because of lukewarm notes. Fortunately, the Russo Brothers are more than capable of meeting this new challenge in a creative way, and have proven that they can sell a product.
