SINGAPORE: The youngest member of the popular K-pop band BIGBANG released his first full-length album The Great Seungri, Friday, July 20 , marking his return a solo singer after five years.
Before giving up the record of nine titles, the 27-year-old – his real name Lee Seunghyun – posted a post on Instagram to his "hyungs" BIGBANG (older brothers in Korean) , whose encouragement he said that he had been a "huge source of energy".

The four other members of BIGBANG – the G-Dragon leader, the rapper TOP, as well as the singers Daesung and Taeyang – all perform their compulsory military service in South Korea.
"I want more than anybody for the five members of BIGBANG to stand together in front of the fans, so I think the interruption of BIGBANG should not not be prolonged, "he added. "The return of BIGBANG will not be far."
Seungri, whose military enlistment would be expected next year, also thanked Yang Hyun-suk, director of his management agency YG Entertainment, and producer Teddy Park, also known for his work with BIGBANG and 2NE1.
