SINGAPORE: The Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) canceled an exam held last week after discovering that a speaker had leaked questions and solutions during the review courses.

A total of 590 part-time and full-time students were affected.

In response to Channel NewsAsia's questions, a spokesman for SUSS said Monday, November 26 that the school had discovered – after the FIN303 Financial Management Review – that questions and solutions had been made known to several students before Nov. 20

The university stated that it would cancel the examination "since the integrity of the assessment had been compromised and that the rules of the game were the same for all students who presented themselves for the examination ".

Students will now have to choose between accepting their Global Continuous Evaluation Score (OCAS) for their final grade or passing an additional exam scheduled for December 4th.

The OCAS system includes preliminary test scores, course participation and homework.

"A preliminary investigation revealed that an associated faculty had participated in the premature publication of issues and solutions during two additional review courses," said a spokesman for SUSS.

"We will not hesitate to take disciplinary action against the lecturer, including a permanent termination of duties, once investigations are completed."
