Tesla CEO Elon Musk apparently tried (unsuccessfully) to work with Nintendo on an embedded version of Mario Kart.

Sure Twitter Earlier in the day, Musk was asked about the potential to make some games playable on Teslas. Specifically, someone asked Mario Kart questions.

"Why not a version of Mario Kart where you can play against random people who also load their car right now?" asked @rocketisfine.

"We tried," Musk replied. "Nintendo will not license it to us."

Mario Kart is not the only game that players want to play in their Teslas. Another Twitter user asked if it was possible to install Steam in Teslas. Tesla has not yet considered the question, but Musk replied, "That would be cool."

The idea of playing video games in a Tesla is not as far-fetched as it sounds. In August, Musk announced that some classic games of Atari would be made playable in Teslas. He kept his promise in October and readers can watch IGN play games like Missile Command and Centipede in a Tesla.
