Shatterstar, the famous mutant Liefeldien, gets his own mini-series in October, courtesy of the creative team of Tim Seeley and Carlos Villa . Marvel revealed the news on their website on Friday, hacking the book for an exit in October. Created in 1991 by Rob Liefeld and could-be-a-janitor Fabian Nicieza the fucking name of Shatterstar should not have a momentum, that's why this promotional art After the Peak Liefeld Era, Shatterstar fell into the dark but came back to the limelight during X-Factor race of Peter David in which Shatterstar became openly bisexual and had a long relationship with his former ex-New Mutant Rictor. Liefeld was initially opposed to Shatterstar's bisexuality, but then withdrew a promise that he would cancel the changes if he was allowed to write the character again. Liefeld says that he initially wanted Shatterstar to be asexual instead.

Sael Seeley pleased to discover Shatterstar as a living child during the Peak Liefeld era of the early 1990s:

I was 12 years old when I saw Shatterstar the pages of NEW MUTANTS, and I was the perfect age to be intrigued by him. The guy is an alien gladiator! And in the pages of our meeting, he stabs himself with his own swords to kill the wicked who stands behind him.

My interest for him is now more in the aspects of the black character. He's the guy whose life was violence for sport – and now he's trying to move on. But it's such a thin thread that keeps it in this new line of legality, and it's easy to break.

Seeley provided a description of the new series, which will be influenced by Peak Liefeld Era New Mutants and also Ann Nocenti and The Longshot Miniseries Art Adams 1980s:

When the life that he built collapses, Shatterstar is forced to ask himself if he really gave up the gladiatorial ring. The series will be part of John Wick, part of Will Eisner's contract with God, and will be filled with many interdimensional myths of X-Men superheroes.

Seeley also took Twitter to reveal more details, letting the images speak louder than words:

The comic strip will enter the store on October 3rd.
