SINGAPORE – Two people were injured in an accident at Yishun on Wednesday night (28 November).

Police were alerted to an accident involving two cars at the junction of Yishun Avenue 1 and Miltonia Close at 9:22 pm. A 38-year-old female driver and a 58-year-old passenger were aware when they were taken to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital.

The Straits Times understands that the wounded came from different cars. The car of this 38 year old man had no passengers, while the driver of the other car was not injured.

According to the Chinese daily Lianhe Wanbao, one of the vehicles was driving straight ahead when the other hit the vehicle on the driver 's side.

It is believed that both cars were traveling in the proper traffic flow, but the driver stated that the fire was green at the time of his departure, while the driver was not sure to tell the police if the fire was red or green.

Wanbao said the 38-year-old driver complained of dizziness and headaches, while the 58-year-old passenger had mild right arm abrasions and abdominal pain.

Police investigate the accident.
