Huddersfield manager David Wagner believes midfielder Philip Billing is the best player of his age in the Premier League.

Billing, 22, has been outstanding for the Terriers this season and has won rave reviews among a group of pundits for his performance in Sunday's win at the Wolves.

"He's a player that's rarely found in football with all his skills, but also what he's added to his game," Wagner said.

"I can not name you as a 22-year-old player comparable to him. That's the truth.

"He's 6 feet 6 inches, left-handed, incredible shot, fast, vision, technique, long touch, endurance and now also fighting.

"I can not name another player (22), but I'm not a scout. Some scouts may be able to name one.

Billing arrived in Huddersfield for a test run by the 16-year-old Danish club Esbjerg in the 2012/13 season and made rapid progress in the Terrier age groups.

He made his first-team debut at the Sky Bet Championship in 2014 at the age of 17 and made 22 appearances in total last season after Huddersfield returned to first place for the first time in 45 years.

The Danish Under-21 international has taken part in every game of the Premier League Terriers this year.

"What Phil has constantly added to his game this season is that he has a defense and aggression mentality, which is nice to defend and aggression a game.

"That's the only thing he added to his game. Everything he had before. We are all known, perhaps more than him, now he knows it too and he benefits. "

Huddersfield earned his first league win of the season against Fulham earlier this month and climbed the last three places Sunday with a win at Molineux.

Philip Billing TEAMtalk

The Terriers have taken seven points in their last three games and aim to make four unbeaten Premier League matches Saturday for the first time since last December.

Wagner confirmed that his center, Mathias Jorgensen, would be back in training after a suspension of a match against the Wolves.

His fellow defender, Terence Kongolo, is injured in the leg and striker Laurent Depoitre is also unsure due to a groin injury. Both players will be watched.
