WANNA ONE WORLD TOUR ONE: THE WORLD IN SINGAPORE

Singapore Indoor Stadium

Last Friday

If there is one thing you can count on when 39, a K-pop concert, that's is the legions of fans screaming. And the show of Wanna One was happy to put forward the service of the fans.

The group of 11 players included contestants who stood at the end of last year's silly reality contest, Produce 101.

First show in Singapore with high-energy numbers like Burn It Up , the aptly named Energetic and the Boomerang Earworm

Rookies they could be, but Wanna One has certainly presented their potential during the opening segment, ticking a list of all things K-pop. Hanging earrings? Check. Complicated dance movements? Check. The inevitable share of rap in each song? Check

They were good in groups, but they felt almost generic at times – as if their songs could belong to other acts. The individuality of the members and their talents were lost in the large size of the outfit

Perhaps that was the reason why the performances of the unit differed.

Ha Sung-woon, for example, has a beautiful, clear voice, but He only shone when he sang a ballad next to Hwang Min-hyun and Yoon Ji-sung

The four representations of the unit included two to three members at a time. And they worked, since the fans started to root for specific candidates on the show.

The scene was kept simple and maximized for fan engagement. It spread in different corners of the Mosh pit, allowing members to get closer to the fans.

The video clips played between the song segments did not seem to provide a global scenario, but they did a good job of zooming in on

And it was not surprising that the camera knew exactly when Kang Daniel , who finished first in the competition, raised his shirt to show off his impressive abs.

There was also a long conversation where members acted on different scenarios like how they would react after a delicious meal of chili crab, which the fans seemed to like.

And it may be for the better. Wanna One, according to their agreement as Produce 101 finalists, will dissolve at the end of this year. Some will return to their pre-existing groups, others might experience success as solo artists and others will return to their talent agencies and wait for projects.

Since it's probably their last gig as a band in Singapore, is not it? best time to give fans what they want?
