Skin experts have warned against copying a viral craze for using eyelash curlers to pinch imperfections, as this could lead to infection and scarring.

The Cyprus-based "5-Minute Magic" channel, based in Cyprus, has nearly 3 million subscribers, shared the video footage of a man using an eyelash curler to pinch blackheads and discomfort. a woman using the same beauty tool to strengthen the size of her lips.

It has been viewed more than two million times and, although some fans have been impressed by the tricks – claiming that they really work – the experts have warned that copying these tricks could cause serious complications, including including internal bleeding.

Skin care experts claim that the main problem is that craze could cause skin lesions, including scarring.

Dr. Anton Alexandroff, spokeswoman for the dermatologist and spokeswoman for the British Skin Foundation, explained why people looking for better skin should not try to do their own beauty treatments.

He said: "It's not recommended to pinch blackheads or whiteheads with an eyelash curler, because the contents can go in the wrong direction – that is to say. further in the skin.

"This can lead to further inflammation of the skin, including acne cysts that can then heal.

"The best thing to do is seek advice from a health professional, such as a dermatologist or your doctor, who will advise you on the appropriate treatment."

According to Candice Brown, a skin care esthetician, the process could also expand the pores, leaving them permanently enlarged – and even more likely to attract revolting gunshots.

Candice, who works at London Bridge Plastic Surgery, says people are not aware of being at risk for skin lesions, bruises, and even infections.

Those who hope to get luscious lips by copying the video method of using curlers are also warned that they may have skin lesions that can cause bruising and even internal tissue bleeding.

Dr. Greg Bran, a plastic skin surgeon and skin specialist at the London Bridge, believes this craze may cause the lips to swell long enough to cause a selfie, but also cause haematomas, which cause haemorrhage of the blood vessels.

He said: "The eyelash curler can create trauma. As we all know, the lips are very sensitive. You must therefore push the limits of comfort.

"The lips are also an anatomical area of ​​the face well nourished by the blood vessels.

"Tightening or sucking a luscious mouth can result in tissue damage that – once the swelling has dissipated (usually after a few minutes – certainly less than 30), an initial loss of volume could be as likely as the formation of a hematoma / bruise.

"The curler will only work for a quick selfie, but has no chance of going out for an evening or an appointment."
