LANCASTER, Calif. – A gunman is still on the run after he injured a Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputy on a parking lot in Lancaster, in the Mojave Desert.
According to MP Morgan Arteaga, searches in the vicinity of the station ended Thursday morning.
The research focused on a four-story, multi-windowed building overlooking the Sheriff's Station in downtown Lancaster, a deserted city of about 160,000 north of Los Angeles. This housing complex provides housing for people with mental health issues.
MP Angel Reinosa was hit shortly before 3 pm Wednesday as he headed for his car in the parking lot of the employees of the station.
Arteaga says that Reinosa was treated and released.
