HELLO RED DEVIL FANS
Gary Lineker has revealed that Manchester United boss Ed Woodward has completed the transfer of Cristiano Ronaldo to his backyard.
Lineker explained that the United supremo lives next to him and came to his house one day on the phone with Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes.
Shortly after that call, Ronaldo became a United player again.
Meanwhile, Ronaldo’s United teammate Edison Cavani says he doesn’t mind playing the Portuguese star’s second fiddle at the club.
Cavani hasn’t had much playing time since Ronaldo returned to Old Trafford but he insists he’s happy at United because it’s part of football.
The Uruguayan said: “Sometimes you play more, sometimes you play less, managers make decisions, but that doesn’t stop the job from always being competitive.”
Speaking of Ronaldo, Liverpool legend Didi Hamann believes ex-Juventus star is keeping United afloat this season and without him they are pathetic.
Hamman told Sky Sports: “The one and only reason Manchester United are still in the title race and doing well in the Champions League is Cristiano Ronaldo.”
Finally, Red Devils legend Peter Schmeichel blasted critics calling for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to lose his job.
The Dane told fans to be patient with Solskjaer or risk returning to the crisis days at the club when Louis Van Gaal and Jose Mourinho were in charge.
He told ITV Sports: “I think it’s ridiculous, absolutely ridiculous.
“Do they want another [Louis] Van Gaal or other [Jose] Mourinho? What do they want? “
