After a disappointing and angry NBA 2018-19 season with the Boston Celtics, Kyrie Irving is set to become an unrestricted free agent for the first time in her career.
According to rumors, the Los Angeles Lakers would be a major player in its services to bring together the duo of champions Irving and LeBron James.
Irving is about to be one of the best free agents on the market and certainly the best points guard available. However, after the NBA playoffs in 2019 with the Celtics in which he had a hard time scoring and leading his young teammates, it seems that his value is slowly slipping after their semifinal series of conference against Milwaukee Bucks.
According to Steve Bulpett of the Boston Herald, several sources around the league have concerns about Irving:

It is clear that the goal of the Lakers will be higher – perhaps Kawhi Leonard – at the beginning. However, if Leonard makes it clear that there is no indication to sign with them, it will be interesting to see if they are now focusing on Irving, Jimmy Butler or Kemba Walker.
