Spider-men? Sony Channel Latin America Video Says “Anything Can Happen” at Marvel and Sony Studios Spider-Man 3, seemingly teasing a cross between Tom Holland’s wall-crawler and past iterations of the character played by Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield. The Spanish-language video, titled “The 3 Spider-Man Together” and posted to the official Sony Latinoamérica channel on YouTube, asks viewers: “Who is your favorite Spider-Man? You don’t have to choose – in the Marvel Multiverse, anything can happen.”

The video, titled “News”, goes on to say that “in Spider-Man 3 you’ll probably see everyone – yes – the three Peter Parkers saving the world together. “The video compiles scenes from the film directed by Sam Raimi Spider Man trilogy, the pair of Garfield starring Amazing Spider-Man movies, and the MCU set Spider-Man: Far From Home.

The end of the video is a message to “learn more very soon” via the news section of Sony Latin America.

On November 29, the channel released a video titled “Doctor Strange: Spider-Man’s New Mentor,” which says “Theories on the Spider-Verse of the Marvel universe are strengthened “because of the film’s proximity to Marvel Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Holland Avengers: Infinity War Co-star Benedict Cumberbatch reprise his role as wizard Stephen Strange in Spider-Man 3, scheduled for December 2021, before its return to the Doctor Strange suite dated May 2022.

Camila Pacheco, executive director of marketing for Sony Pictures Entertainment in Brazil, said at a Latin America-centric film convention in October that fans would receive their first look at Spider-Man 3 before the end of the year. This preview could be in a few days: Sony Pictures has released the first trailers for Back home and Far from home on December 8, 2016 and 2018, respectively.

Sony Pictures has yet to reveal a title for its 2017 sequel Spider-Man: Homecoming and last summer Far from home, which ended with Peter Parker (Holland) having his secret identity revealed after he thwarted Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal). Far from home brought up the multiverse when a high-tech hoax Mysterio claimed to be an out-of-world superhero moved from another dimension after the events of Avengers: Endgame.

The addition of Jamie Foxx, who is reprising his role as super-charged Electro supervillain, sparked rumors Spider-Man 3 would dive into the Marvel Multiverse with the return of an enemy defeated by Garfield’s version of the character in 2014 The Incredible Spider-Man 2. In October, Foxx appeared to confirm its casting in a since-deleted Instagram post.

Asked about his involvement by ComicBook.com, Foxx said “anything is possible” but could not confirm he was joining Holland and returning Spider Man stars Zendaya, Jacob Batalon and Marisa Tomei in the threequel. The other actors and the details of the plot remain secret.

Spider-Man 3 hits theaters on December 17, 2021.
