Suddenly infamous SoulCycle instructor says, “My bad” … after calling herself “an educator” in order to get the COVID-19 vaccine.
Stacey griffith apologized Monday “from the bottom of her heart” after posting a photo of herself receiving the much-needed vaccine. The 52-year-old later admitted that she was eligible because she presented herself as an “educator” on vaccine registration forms.
Upon closer examination … she called the wacky movement a “terrible error in judgment.”
In his post deleted since … Griffith – who taught things like Oprah and Kelly ripa – began his legend with, “VACCINE DAY! First step of Moderna magic! An hour’s drive to STATEN ISLAND is worth every minute! It takes a village.”
Griffith even added, “Now I can teach @soulcycle with a little more faith that everything will be fine.”
Of course, some real teachers are still struggling to get vaccinated in New York City, where there is a shortage.
NY currently prioritizes people over the age of 65 and teachers, school staff, in-person college instructors, educators, first responders, transit workers, frontline workers, and people who work / live in collective shelters for the homeless.
Yeah, fitness instructors? Even the most popular / famous? NOT on the list.
Even the mayor of New York Bill de Blasio seemed puzzled that Griffith would receive the vaccine saying, “That doesn’t sound like someone who should have been vaccinated for me.”
